Resources for Organizers

Chess In Education An economical place to buy chess sets and supplies for your club. They say "wholesale" and it is.

Places to Play and Watch Chess Online

Free Internet Chess Service A great place to play blitz and standard chess after you've tuned up your game a bit.

Internet Chess Club  A very good place to for advancing players (USCF 1000 and up) to play. This site is not free, but offers features you can't find anywhere else. The "Five-Minute Blitz" classifiaction is possibly the fairest hardcore, no-excuses blitz play available on the web. Other time controls are available too. Not free, but very high quality. Watch GM's IM's and NM's play blitz anytime by typing "obs *f".

Yahoo Games  This is not my favorite site. Play is essentially unregulated so there is too much poor sportsmanship. Still, the learning curve for the software is quite low, so try it if you like.
